For property developers

Make your next project EV-ready from day one.

Apartments, townships, offices and mixed-use developments in Greater Jakarta. Plan charging into the design, and TaoCharge invests in, builds and runs it for residents, tenants and visitors.

Why plan charging now

Charging is easiest to add before you build.

Retrofitting a finished car park means breaking into slabs, rerouting cables and upgrading switchrooms. Planning it into the drawings avoids most of that.

  • Lower retrofit cost

Reserving bays, cable routes and power capacity at design stage avoids reworking a finished car park later.

  • An amenity buyers and tenants notice

EV owners look for homes and offices where they can charge. Working chargers on handover day are a visible, modern feature.

  • Investment and operation handled

TaoCharge invests in the charging equipment and operates it, so your team doesn’t have to fund, bill or maintain it.

  • Works with limited grid capacity

Dynamic power sharing and on-site storage let more bays charge from a smaller connection, as at our Jiayu Yunjing project in Shanghai.

Design checklist

What to plan into the drawings.

We review your plans with your MEP consultants and recommend charger types and a power layout for each project.

  1. 01 Dedicated charging bays in a visible, easy-to-reach zone of the car park
  2. 02 Cable routes and conduit from the main switchroom to the charging zone
  3. 03 Spare transformer or panel capacity, or space for an energy storage cabinet
  4. 04 Fire-safety and ventilation measures for basement charging, agreed with your MEP and fire consultants
  5. 05 Mobile network coverage in basement levels for chargers and the app
  6. 06 Access rules: residents only, tenants and visitors, or fully public

Developer FAQ

Questions developers ask us.

Does the developer pay for the chargers?

TaoCharge and Aurigin invest in the charging equipment and operate it. Site preparation and commercial terms, such as the length of the agreement, are agreed project by project.

When should we contact you?

As early as possible, ideally at concept or schematic design, when bays, cable routes and power capacity can still be planned in. We also work with completed and operating buildings.

Our grid connection is limited. Can we still offer fast charging?

Often, yes. Dynamic power sharing spreads the available power across bays, and on-site energy storage can cover peaks without a larger grid connection.

Who handles billing and support for residents?

Drivers pay in the TaoCharge app and our team handles customer service, so building management has no billing work.

Can charging be private for residents or open to the public?

Both. Bays can be reserved for residents or tenants, open to all EV drivers, or a mix, depending on the project.

What do you need from us to start?

The project location and type, the number of parking bays, the planned power supply and your timeline. Drawings help but aren’t needed at first. We reply within five working days.
